From Easter and throughout the season. Taking inspiration from the much loved story and characters of Wind in the Willows, we invite familes to take part in a riverside adventure trail. Pick up a trail booklet and let the beautiful illustrations of Ratty, Mole, Toad and Badger guide you round our site and tell you about the different creatures, trees and animals that call Coultershaw home. Children will be challenged to complete a variety of challanges along the way and collect 8 animal stamps on their reward chart in order to claim their prize. The trail will be available to purchase on our Open Days thoughout 2022.

Heritage mills throughout the UK will be open to the public. Coultershaw, which has been the site of mills for centuries, is taking part with mill-themed displays. Spend the evening on a Turner Art Escape at Petworth House on Friday 1 July. Ticket price also includes entry to Newlands House Gallery in Petworth town, during their normal opening hours for the exhibition Frank Auerbach: Unseen. During this late opening of Petworth House you can experience the work of landscape painter J.M.W. Turner with 19 of his paintings on show. A guest of the 3rd Earl of Egremont, Turner visited Petworth often and painted depictions of the House and Park. Along with a collection of artwork and sculpture to see, they’ll be a string duo playing, highlight talks, a welcome drink on arrival and a pay-for-bar.
